The Opportunity - Inventory Controller
You will be joining one of the world's leading integrated energy companies, whose presence here in Perth dates back to the 1950s. The company currently has an opportunity for an Inventory Controller to join their business based in Perth CBD, the initial contract will be until March 2021 with a possibility of extension
Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
Management, review, forecasting and processing of all material demand through ERP system
Responsible for processing demand suggestions for the replenishment of inventory and customer demand using MRP functionality.
Monitor material planning reports to ensure materials are on track to meet demand.
Provide support and be a focal point in the planning of materials
Input to material management planning & strategy
Establish partnerships with other departments to build material planning accuracy, standard procedures, controls, practices and systems
Review and optimize inventory levels and stocking accuracy.
Review and approve Stock Authorisation Requests (SAR)
Manage the process for disposals of surplus and obsolete materials
Develop and maintains key performance indicators to support efficient Supply Chain Operations
Is this for you?
To be successful in this role you must be able to demonstrate:
in-depth knowledge of material planning systems, master data parameters, procurement and material operations processes
Proficient in use of integrated ERP and business applications e.g. Ariba, SAP, JDE, MS Office
Deep understanding of Oil and Gas materials, OEM and vendor networks
Operate autonomously with minimal guidance and supervision to effectively prioritize workload.
Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively across teams and with a range of technical and management levels.
Ability to effectively facilitate group discussions / meetings at all levels.
Ability to positively negotiate and influence people to deliver required operational outcomes.
Flexibility to adjust to competing / changing priorities.
Extensive experience in end to end supply chain processes and procedures.
Exposure to maintenance, production, drilling and laboratory principles, processes and practices.
Proficient finance fluency (invoice processing, inventory accounting, capex and opex cost management)
