This reputable joinery company are a well-established business in Keysborough. Their work is predominantly residential high end cabinetry for some of Melbourne’s best-known and most-respected kitchen and bathroom retailers and designers. They take a great amount of pride in their expert staff, and the incredible service they deliver, so that their clients receive stunning results.
Your new role;
This Quality Assurance Manager role has become available due to continued company growth and the consequent need to add more strength in the senior management team. This is a prominent role within the organisation and you will be a key part of the management team. You will be technically minded and have thorough experience with the design of kitchens both high volume and one off pieces.
On a day to day basis you will be responsible for;
-Managing the entire QA process, including ensuring all customer issues and “extras” are dealt with promptly and the customer is kept fully aware of progress with these crucial parts of their jobs. This will require reasonable proficiency in Excel to keep updated a spreadsheet to track these issues.
- Checking all completed jobs on the factory floor prior to despatch to once again ensure what the customer ordered is exactly what they are about to receive and that the job meets the exacting standards that the company has set for itself and its customers.
What you'll need to succeed;
The ideal candidate will be a qualified cabinet maker with experience in either a leading hand/foreperson role (factory or site based) or a production manager leading a medium sized team of factory based cabinet makers. The successful candidate will be highly organised and able to read plans, as well as being able to track all jobs and deliver them on time and within budget.
Ideally, you will have but not essential;
-Carpentry/Joinery Trade qualification
- Experience as a Foreman or Production Manager
- Certificate in manufacturing, and experience with manufacturing machines
- Scheduling and Time Management skills
- Strong Excel and Microsoft office experience
