About Our Site Our Darwin team provide repair, maintenance and in-service support for the fleet of Armidale Class Patrol Boats. We have multiple locations across Darwin to accommodate our growing diverse team of 95 employees. About the role Reporting to the Production Manager, you will be a member of the production team accountable for a small team of tradesmen, ensuring diagnosis of faults, and materials and parts required for maintenance and upkeep of assets are made available with cost code allocation and administering task requirements to relevant tradesmen. The role is located in Darwin. As a trade supervisor you are accountable for managing a positive and ongoing relationship with ACPB Enterprise members. Key Responsibilities · Managing and coordinating sub-contractors on site to ensure completion of work in accordance with the contract · Liaising between managers and supervisors to ensure manpower, equipment and resources are available as per plan · Understanding entire scope of the project, the critical path activities and any potential problem areas · Inspecting the physical work to ensure compliance with set quality and technical standards · Assist project manager with solving any issues / problems or concerns which may arise during the project About You You hold the following skills and attributes: · Minimum qualification required is any Engineering/ trade certification in electrical, welding/ fabrication, mechanical/ fitter with industry experience in a related field · Experience with ADF maintenance management practices or experience in logistics environment · Asset knowledge of Naval marine systems and previous experience in ship repair activities is desirable · Drivers Licence – Class C Special Requirements The position is dependent on the candidate eligibility to obtain a Defence Security Clearance. The suitable candidate needs to be ITARS cleared; therefore Thales needs to know if you hold any passport other than Australian, or have dual citizenship.
