Responsibilties: Development and assist with the implementation of strategies and solutions to optimise building operation and maintenance costs, without effecting business levels or service standards Deliver strategies to reduce vendor numbers, drive efficiencies, integrate buying into capital works programs and develop strategic relationships Develop, tender, review, implement and manage a range of third party contracts that support and deliver servicesfor a property operation with a focus on the development of strategic partnerships Review, implement and manage a process that will reduce the total amount of service providers and contractors Attend Meetings and assist the site teams in the promotion of optimised procurement solutions and practices Assist the Head of FM Plus with the efficient analysis and reporting of procurement related activities Remain an Inspirational Leader who consistently motivates and supports staff on many different operational issues and activities Required Knowledge & Skills: Excellent Customer (Tenant) Service relationship skills Sound knowledge and competent in application of Statutory Legislation imposing or affecting property operations and buildings Have experience in Facility Management Operations, experience with Spreadsheets/ Data Analysis & Reporting, Performance Contracting Management, Customer Service Delivery, Client relationship skills, Waste & Environmental Practices, developing cost effective solutions 5-10 plus years of experience working in procurement and contract management preferably with some property procurement experience A tertiary qualification in real estate and or a procurement related field  Excellent verbal and written communication skills

An exciting opportunity is currently available for a highly experienced National Procurement Manager/ Specialist to work with a globally recognised property and facilities maintenance organisation based in the Melbourne CBD. This role is for an initial temporary contract with the potential to go permanent. The role requires a person with a high level of procurement experience, who has an extensive amount of exposure with expressions of interest, public tendering and specific service contracts across both hard & soft services in line with specific commercial and industrial asset management strategy.
