Role synopsis: BP is offering an opportunity to showcase your technical Utilities knowledge and commercial acumen by taking full responsibility for the procurement of Utilities across Australia, New Zealand, Indonesia and China. This category includes the electricity supply, natural gas and industrial gases procurement for all of our operations across AsPac, this encompasses thousands of Retail sites, our Kwinana Refinery, petrochemical facilities in China and Indonesia, and a variety of other locations including Corporate Offices, Fuel Terminals and Truck Stops. As a technical expert in Utilities first and foremost, you will be well placed to tightly manage contracts, relationships and expectations on our Utilities vendors. Your technical knowledge is further essential to deeply understanding our business needs and ensuring the right fit with Vendors to deliver these business-critical products. Key accountabilities: This role owns the creation of transformative category strategies and the implementation of plans (with the support of BP's shared service function). This role works closely with peers, stakeholders to ensure a single, coordinated approach, communicating on an aligned bases. Role synopsis: Step up to the next phase of your procurement career with this role focusing on end to end sourcing activity supporting BP's complex and fast-moving Logistics and Retail Assets categories across Australia and New Zealand. This role provides Tactical and Strategic Buying services and manages end to end sourcing activities across the category. You will be part of a small and close knit team of procurement specialists sitting in the ANZ Procurement Services team in Docklands. You will lead and support several categories with BP's strategic Procurement function, giving you broad and diverse exposure to best-practise procurement and opening the door to a career path within BP locally, and globally. You'll learn from your large, global peer network and be actively involved in establishing best practice initiatives within the procurement function Key accountabilities: This involves going out to market for RFx activity, and reviewing and negotiating contracts. Complete sourcing negotiations for the business, preparing and executing contracts, variations and extensions. Executing sourcing activities across a variety of different market sectors. Actively reviewing contract expiry reports and managing the course of action with the Category Manager or Category Specialist. Designing and implementing with suppliers the appropriate processes to enable compliance buying, reconciliation and buying protocols in line with broader strategy Driving change and compliance through the business across P2P processes, by encouraging the increased use of Purchase Orders (PO's) and / or approved buying channels under supplier agreements. Essential Education: * Essential experience and job requirements: To be successful in the Procurement Specialist role, you will have experience in end-to-end sourcing, strong negotiation skills and well-developed analytical abilities. The nature of your specific category experience is flexible as this role will allow learning and an introduction to the Logistics & Retail Assets category if you are not already familiar with it.
