Global Logistics is seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to be responsible for directing, coordinating, supervising and achieving service objectives with regard to all warehouse operations for a multi-user facility in Altona. This role is the primary point of contact for our valued customers, so a proactive approach and the ability to develop long term relationships will be critical to the success of the business. You will be responsible for leading a warehouse team to ensure outstanding results are achieved whilst driving a strong commitment to safety & continuous improvement. Additionally you will be responsible for: Driving a strong safety culture on site everyday Training, coaching and mentoring the team to ensure operational excellence Liaising directly with the client and senior Toll operations staff Investigating and resolving any operational issues Planning and arranging labour, equipment and MHE requirements The Ideal Candidate? You will have relevant operational experience gained from managing staff on a daily basis within a warehousing environment. Your ability to achieve operational targets but also drive process improvements will be essential to the success of the site. A passion for the industy combined with strong leadership skills and experience motivating a large team will allow you to make an immediate impact with the team. The Role The purpose of this role is to provide high quality logistical and administrative support to assist in the day-to-day provision of Global Logistics Mining - East business. Responsible for ordering parts and warehouse management, to support the onsite business. Key Responsibilities The majority of duties are administrative in nature however preference will be given to having exposure to the following: Responsible for ordering parts and warehouse management Develop own business services or administrative capability according to direction set by team leader or manager. Make sure overall work throughout the day is prioritised, scheduled and organised through others or by referring to standard business practice. Develop processors and systems that enhance our customer's experience that delivers efficiencies to both Toll and our customer. Recognise own task if a problem is encountered in completing the work or something else takes priority Resolve unusual or more complicated situations involving financial transactions with customers, suppliers, vendors or other areas within the business. Skills & Experience An understanding of the transport industry or background in parts / workshop is favourable Purchasing background preferred but not essential Demonstrated strong interpersonal and communication skills. Demonstrated time management, delegation and prioritising skills. Microsoft office suite expertise including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
