We are working with a successful mining company who are currently seeking a Purchasing Officer for a ongoing contract based near the Perth CBD. Key Accountabilities include: Manage day-to-day Repair Requests through SAP System ensuring repair orders are generated in a timely and expeditious manner Assist with the collection of detailed scope of work plans and work packages for execution of warranty work as required Prepare and distribute monthly warranty reports Ensures faulty inventory and rotable items are returned promptly for warranty analysis Receive and review warranty claims Evaluate claims for validity, forward claims to end-users for evaluation and comments. Carry out expediting activities related to Purchase Orders/Service Orders related for repairable items. Liaise with manufacturers, suppliers, repair agents, Purchasing and Site Supply Supervisors to ensure instructions and dialogue regarding warranty and repair activities are well communicated Prepare monthly performance reports identifying suppliers and repair agents that are not responding to requests for quotation within a timely manner Requirements: Minimum of two year experience in Procurement Previous warranty and repairs experience (desirable) Well developed knowledge of SAP system Strong ability to plan, organise work and maintain adherence to policies and procedures Good communication and personnel skills and proactive team player Flexability as this position involves both administrative and hands on tasks Advanced PC skills and computer literacy with respect to MS Office Suite Products You must have the right to live and work in Australia to apply for this role.
