Randstad is currently seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Inventory controller for an innovative technology start-up company in Lindfield. This is a Permanent position! Duties and Responsibilities: Receive parts from supplier / store, counting / matching the quantities from invoice and enter into the system with accuracy. Apply bar code labels and placing the parts into the correct warehouse location. Pick, pack and make kits of parts to issue to the pilot production sub assemblies and final assembly lines for production / assembly on FIFO basis. Pick, Pack and dispatch the parts to supplier or customers as per requirement. Report shortages of parts and follow up with stake holders Cycle count, report stock discrepancies and assist in monthly stock take process Can carry out incoming inspection as per the direction. Maintain the warehouse and suggest any improvement for efficient and effective receiving and distribution of parts. Assist engineers in developing, building or testing new equipment and processes Follow all written and verbal instructions Demonstrate a positive and professional attitude Core Skills: Good motor skills and ability to handle optical components Detail attention and good organisational skills Analytical Ability to check defects, identify problems & investigate root cause General Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills Capable of working both independently and with a team Good Computer skills (Excel, Word, PPT, ERP) Ability to work in ESD safe and clean room environment Problem solving Requirements and Qualifications: Diploma or trade qualification 2+ years’ experience in warehouse, production or manufacturing industry Willingness to comply with all safety guidelines Reliable and Punctual Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team. Your New Company Lean practitioner required for a global supply chain leader specialising in the rail and transport sectors. Your New Role A Lean champion with deomstrated experiece in supply chain and warehousing you will work with external clients to manage and deliver projects/programmes to allotted timeframes. Within this role, the Lean Practitioner will work to deliver agreed objectives, and coach and support team members in order to develop Lean capability and transfer knowledge to meet clear objectives. Your key duties * Develop client relationships through Project/Programme implementation. * Establish a credible and valued working relationship at all levels of the business * Engage and communicate effectively with different levels of the organisation and stakeholders * To communicate effectively and work to support other Practitioners within the team * Develop project plans * Conduct detailed diagnostics and establish current state and improvement opportunities * Design an improved future state, setting future state targets, KPI's and objectives, agree these with UEP Managing Practitioner and the client and implement effectively * Integrate findings drawing conclusions and implications from data analysis.
