Production Shift Manager Our client is one of the leading food manufacturing companies in Australia, are seeking to be the number 1 leader globally. In this role you will be required to lead & develop teams with the responsibility tasks relating to production to meet targets. Reporting into the Senior Shift Manager, this is a team leading role where you will be responsible for: Leading and managing the team Driving growth, continuous improvement, high performance Assistance with recruitment for your shift Drive a safety first culture To co-ordinate all aspects of continual improvement activities focusing on quality, safety, health, environment, and output The role has a number of direct reports and is a hands-on management role. The role is supported by other members of the senior management team it is an autonomous role and it will be expected that the right person will be able to ‘hit the ground running’ and welcome this challenge. A working knowledge of ISO standards and HACCP is desirable. To be successful in this role you will be required to: Have previously been in a managerial role with direct reports Experience within production/manufacturing (Food Manufacturing desirable) Passionate about driving continuous improvement initiatives through implementing strategies Experience with leading and engaging a team, with the capability to create a collaborative and positive working environment Ensure product is manufactured according to specification Perform manufacturing capability trials for new products or raw materials and keep adequate records Demonstrated ability to drive a Safety culture with an Environmental and Quality focus Experience working in a HACCP environment and/or management of a HACCP system will be highly regarded. Our client is a Tier 1 Subcontractor working with Australia's biggest builders on premier Tier 1 flagship projects. The company specializes in Pipework construction and maintenance within the hydraulic and mechanical services markets within the commercial building, industrial and mining sectors. As a result of business growth they are seeking an experienced Production Manager to join their growing team in their office in the Northern Suburbs of Melboourne. The company have a very strong ability to provide long term career development, as well as steady work across the National construction space which is reflective in their ability to retain long term staff. As Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing all time, budget and quality aspects of building projects. You will manage all awarded projects valued up to $10m. You will be supported by a dedicated and experienced General Manager and Director, and outstanding site personnel, you must be an effective communicator with the ability to delegate and mange the project team as well as manage the main contractor. Duties Your core duties in this role will encompass: Construction Programming Client & Stakeholder Liaison Attend site and office meetings Control and Estimate variations Oversee pre-fabrication in workshop Managing Site Teams and Personnel Ensuring best practise in QA, OH&S and IR Main contract management and Labour Resourcing The successful candidate will hold tertiary qualifications in construction/building and have proven skills and experience in Plumbing within a commercial build environment. My client prefers previous sub contractor experience. You will also have solid communication, negotiation and organisational skills.
