An opportunity now exists for a talented Category Specialist with a background in Facilities & Capital management to join our team in our Central corporate function. Category Specialists are responsible for the establishment, placement and management of appropriate contracting arrangements with capable suppliers to deliver the cost, schedule, quality and safety requirements of the business, which, through relationship and performance management, maximises value and minimises risk. Reporting to the Category Manager, this particular role will be responsible for supporting the facilities and asset management category. In terms of more specific responsibilities, you will: * Proactively manage the performance of suppliers to achieve business requirement with regards to schedule, cost and quality, developing and embedding the relevant key performance indicators (KPIs) * Support the procurement elements of bids and tenders ensuring robust definition of requirements and commercial terms * Support the supplier evaluation process and support sourcing recommendations on behalf of the business and subsequently lead supplier negotiations and finalise supplier agreements and purchase orders * Ensure adherence to contractual obligations through effective commercial management, including payments, claims, warranties, cash flow and flow down of contract amendments * Support the development of robust supplier sourcing strategies for the business * Develop and implement cost saving initiatives * Manage Australian subcontractors and worldwide supplier base As an ideal applicant you will have: * Substantial procurement experience with a demonstrable level of exposure within the facilities and asset management procurement and/or supply chain domain * Substantial experience developing strategies for facilities and asset management categories * Specific experience in waste, security and cleaning categories * The willingness and ability to travel domestically * Superior communication, interpersonal, negotiation, influencing and negotiation skills * A proven ability to engage with and build relationships with stakeholders to drive business benefit * Tertiary qualifications in procurement or a related discipline and/or a professional procurement qualification such as CIPSA will be highly regarded * Specific experience managing Commercial Leases, Capital Construction programs, Outsourced Facilities Management and Knowledge of AS Construction Contracts Applications should be addressed to: Shane Blogg, Talent Acquisition Specialist Please ensure you attach a current resume and copy of your relevant qualification(s) to your application.
