This is a senior management position that is responsible for the overall production and manufacturing of Drake Group products. This role requires a strong leader, who has succeeded in an agile 'design to order’ environment. Reporting directly to the Group General Manager, the Production Manager will oversee the key areas of the business. Description The role will suit a hands-on Production Manager with previous experience coordinating operations in a design-to-order production environment. You will provide a vital link between the production employees, engineering, suppliers, customers, contractors and the management team. The role requires a strong communicator and someone who is able to handle multiple tasks at the same time. Drive and implement Production Excellence in consultation with key stakeholders Lead resources to maximise profitability Build Continuous Improvement culture utilising performance data to drive improvement Provide leadership and support to encourage and maintain a cohesive production environment Transfer strategies into operational plans and set the goals for agreed KPIs Develop tools, processes and methodologies to enable production excellence Profile The successful candidate will need to possess the following (but not limited to): Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar production management role that involved bespoke manufacturing of industrial products. Experience with heavy engineering and metal fabrication is preferred. Proven track record of leading teams through change management activities and promoting a high performance culture Proven ability to work in a team environment liaising between production, sales, suppliers and customers. The ability to manage a production team to achieve KPI targets and implement new Lean manufacturing procedures and policies.
