Procurement is tasked with ensuring NAB partners with the right suppliers that can meet NAB’s requirements now and in the future, deliver innovative products and services, provide excellent value and protect NAB’s brand and reputation. Due to recent growth, we are looking for a Procurement Manager to join the team on a permanent basis and: Work on multiple products, services and solutions to support a range of activity across Technology at NAB, involving outsourcing of platforms, application development and support, cloud based services, software, network services, infrastructure, telecommunications and IT security. Make a value adding impact and deliver in a transformational environment Lead the business in developing enterprise strategies for suppliers and sourcing engagements Deliver and execute procurement process Partner with and provide commercial advice and guidance to our internal colleagues What will I be doing? Key deliverables include negotiating commercially sound contracts and agreements with suppliers that deliver business benefit, mitigate risk, drive cost out and ensure value for money. Fundamental tasks of the role include: Engaging with business leaders to ascertain procurement requirements Developing of sourcing strategies in keeping with NAB’s commercial appetite Drafting and management of market engagements such as RFI’s/RFP’s/RFQ’s Undertaking cost modelling, benchmarking, detailed analysis and evaluation of offers Assisting the business with the resolution of contractual issues or disputes Management of contract expiries Skills and experience To be successful in this role you will need: Demonstrated experience in a strategic sourcing, category management or commercial role Industry background ideally within financial services industry or a large corporate Ability to build key relationships and influence senior stakeholders Strong understanding of legal terms, tenders and contracts, procurement and purchasing policies Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulatory matters such as the Australian Competition and Consumer Act, Privacy Act, Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA) etc. Well demonstrated procurement experience across multiple Technology categories Benefits At NAB, we provide access to a large number of exclusive employee benefits that will support you both personally and professionally.
