About the Role The key objective of this role is to ensure the correct amount of stock is purchased to meet demand whilst keeping the costs of holding stock to a minimum. The role is required to maximise sales growth through high service levels, keeping to stock profit budget targets and minimise aged stock holdings and short code write-off’s. This is a 12-month contract position and will be ideal for a candidate keen to further their career in a FMCG environment. What you'll do: You will have primary responsibility in the following key areas: Service Level Implementing stock holdings in accordance with demand and promotional forecasts to ensure that our customer’s stock requirements are met in full and on time. Ensuring alignment with Category Sales Managers to ensure inbound and outbound service levels meet the required targets. Inventory Investment Implementing purchasing strategies in accordance with predetermined income objectives. Stock Turns (Aged Stock) Identifying all overstocks in promotions, seasonal, deleted and all other stocks in the warehouse and clearing them. Supplier to fund all markdowns. Clear all low coded stock with no loss to company. (Supplier to Fund) What you'll bring: 3 years’ experience in retail / warehousing environment Experience in Power Enterprise or similar ordering systems Intermediate to advance excel skills Excellent communication (both written and verbal) and presentation skills. This role is based at our Laverton Distribution Centre. What you'll do Manage the carton pick costs, labour costs and warehouse costs. Ensure assembly accuracy, delivery performance of the team. Compliance with OHS systems, ensure RTW procedures are met, compliance with HACCP systems, compliance with COR legislation, ensuring all equipment is maintained and warehouse cleanliness is of a high standard. Maintain shrinkage budgeted, manage all cycle counts and manage stock loss where appropriate. Ensure performance management is completed, standard operating procedures are in place and the allocation of staff levels are adhered t. Provide effective leadership, training and coaching of the team. What you'll bring Proven leadership experience. Financial acumen. Microsoft office skills – Outlook, Word, Excel and Access. Industry knowledge would be highly regarded. The ability to work within a fast paced, changing environment. Ability to build effective working relationships. Customer focus.
