Main purpose of the Position Reporting directly to the Head of Procurement, you will be responsible for leading a team of Strategic Buyers to develop category sourcing strategies and manage categories to deliver sustainable value to the business. The role focuses on Technical and Logistics categories (Logistics, MRO, Capex and Outsourced Manufacturing). A day in the life of... Manage and develop category sourcing strategies that are aligned to stakeholder objectives and that deliver competitive advantage and value to the business Provide functional leadership, guidance and training for the procurement teams in order to achieve best-in-class procurement Set measurable and challenging team objectives that are aligned to the company objectives and ensure that these are met Ensure effective internal stakeholder and supplier relationship management is in place for all categories and business units Provide direction and drive continuous improvement for the team Regular engagement and alignment with senior internal stakeholders Ensure standard operating procedures are in place and drive compliance to all Procurement policies What Will Make You Successful? You have 5+ years’ experience in strategic sourcing and 3+ years’ experience in leading a team Demonstrated success in strategic sourcing and delivering competitive advantage to the business You have the demonstrated the ability to successfully lead projects Negotiated in cross-functional and cross-market teams Successfully managed and developed a team of buyers Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence others, achieve consensus, resolve issues and perform under pressure Can demomostrate the ability to influence business decisions and processes The ability to lead others to excel in negotiation, project management, change management and communication and can drive continuous improvement of procurement Applicants must be eligible to work in Australia and hold citizenship or Permanent Residency.
