The responsibilities extend from managing strategic planning processes to financial performance management, reporting and ensuring all financial compliance measures are met. Working as part of the Finance team, you will provide proactive financial leadership through direct involvement in business management across both Country Road Group and David Jones. In this role you will: Provide Senior Category Leadership across all David Jones and CRG brands, responsible for all aspects of the category spend including; the category vision and strategic category direction, whilst managing resources effectively to support, develop and execute category plan Achieve stakeholder alignment and effective deployment of recommended actions Achieve or exceeding annual efficiency and value targets Support and mentor the procurement team and provide leadership support to the Group Head of Procurement Develop strong Group relationships to unlock WHL Group procurement capability Build strong working relationships with key stakeholders to ensure alignment of objectives and to build a clear understanding of business requirements for the supply of goods and services Prioritise activities and contracts with the Procurement Manager and determine action required based on financial value, non-financial importance, potential upside, risk and other relevant factor Lead the end to end sourcing process from scope development, supplier selection/evaluation, commercial negotiation, risk mitigation and contract execution Report on planned to actual savings in accordance to savings definition methodology to measure impact to budget and business results We are looking for that little bit extra, so join us if you have: Strong business acumen and negotiation skills Strong interpersonal, stakeholder management and influencing skills Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills Previous people and team leadership experience Demonstrated understanding of Australian contract law as it relates to the purchase and supply or goods and services Project management experience, highly regarded Strong end to end category management knowledge and highly developed commercial experience, possibly gained in other large commercial/FMCG/Retail enterprise Experience with global sourcing or working in a regional procurement team Deep value chain management knowledge Research and networking skills to ensure David Jones and CRG are at the forefront of industry leading practices and strategic trends Strong oral and written communication skills Relevant tertiary qualification, ideally with commerce, law or SCM At David Jones and the Country Road Group, we go the extra mile.
