As we continue on our growth phase, we have a newly created position for a National Continuous Improvement Manager for our Distribution Centres. Reporting to the National Lean Renewal Manager, this role will see you responsible for initiating and executing local and national based strategic initiatives across our 6 DCs across Australia and New Zealand. This is a rare opportunity for an experienced Lean certified (and experienced) logistics/supply chain manager to create their own blueprint for Kmart’s DC transformation journey. Part of that journey will centre around building and developing your results focused and innovative DC continuous improvement team to partner with Supply Chain and broader Kmart stakeholders To be successful in this role, you will be responsible for the following: Executing Lean principles and embedding a Lean culture across Kmart’s DCs ensuring one simple way of working with a particular focus on safety, leadership, productivity, service, cost and compliance; Mentoring and further developing capability within current and future site Continuous Improvement Managers; Focus on further developing and executing the current Supply Chain Strategy with an emphasis on Lean transformation and team alignment; Coaching and developing of breakthrough events including developing a critical path to ensure project and deliverables are met. Embedding a sustainable culture of Continuous Improvement through team ownership and accountability. Your proven change management and exceptional influencing and stakeholder management skills will hold you in good stead to be successful in this role, as will your driven, results focused and tenacious attributes ensure your “fit” into this exceptionally high performing team. As a result of continued growth and future strategy plans, we have a newly created role to join our online category team to drive online presence and sales for the Apparel categories. This role will allow you to become a key contributor to further enhancing the experience we offer our online customers and will be responsible for the following; Set the overall strategic direction for your categories online sales and customer experience Define content and activity plan for your categories as well as analyse and report on insights and learnings Monitor and analyse category performance and user experience and use insights to continually improve decisions Oversee the brief, production, and maintenance all digital content for your category: home pages, landing pages and other content Work on key campaigns with internal stakeholders, including Online, UX/Design, Marketing and Merchandise teams Develop sound demand forecasts, based on historical data and business strategies and plans To be successful in securing this role, you will ideally possess the following skills and experience; Formal qualifications in Marketing, Commerce or similar business-related degree Prior experience working as a buyer/category manager in retail, ecommerce or related field (those with experience in the apparel category will be considered highly favourable) Experience working within an early-stage/low-maturity environment focussed on continuous improvement and growth Results-oriented and outcome-focused: accustomed to delivering against hard commercial targets/metrics demonstrated through your solid financial, numerical and analytical skills Experience working within a digital/ecommerce environment Strong understanding of UX principles as well as comfortable using web analytics tools (eg Google Analytics) to derive customer insights Familiar with online conversion optimisation principles Exceptional collaboration, influencing and communication skills (written/verbal) Ability to interpret and act on market trends You will benefit from joining an amazing business and a dynamic team who are all committed to the success of Kmart and providing our customers with a great shopping experience. Reporting in to the Head of Online, the role of Online Trading & Merchandise Manager is a pivotal role and key author of the overall Kmart growth strategy. Managing a team made up of Online Category Managers and Online Merchandisers and providing direction to dedicated Inventory Planners, with substantial third-party support, this role will position you as the thought leader and key owner of an ambitious sales and customer growth strategy.
