The Opportunity This is an exciting opportunity to join a not for profit organisation and shape the procurement function. Reporting directly into the CFO, this is a genuine brownfield opportunity. Managing the direct and indirect spend for the organisation, this is a strategic role but you must be prepared to roll up your sleeves. In your first 12 months, you will have the opportunity to identify significant benefits for the organisation, establish the procurement framework, create new policies and procedures and implement new systems and a P2P system. This is a great opportunity for someone that is keen to move into a leadership role and take their career to the next level. Aspects of the role will include: Identify business improvement initiatives and develop and implement new processes. Be a subject matter expert across all indirect procurement categories. Identify, own and manage the end-to-end strategic sourcing process. Prepare and review tender documentation and facilitate the evaluation process. Lead supplier contract negotiations. Provide specialist advice and guidance to key stakeholders on contractual terms and conditions. Liaise with Finance to extract, interpret, utilise and report on procurement data and market intelligence. Develop the annual procurement budget and manage and monitor the development and delivery of services within this budget. Your Background Experience working in a procurement strategy and delivery position or similar. Strong working knowledge of procurement policies and application. Demonstrated experience in establishing and maintaining procurement. systems, processes, policies and procedures. Sound vendor relationship management. Strong understanding of tenders, contracts and the tender and contract processes. Excellent contract management experience, including contract compilation and review. Proven customer-focus with proven ability to influence, communicate and negotiate at strategic and tactical levels. We are open to industry experience. We are looking someone with sound commercial acumen that may have previously worked in a small leadership role with exposure to directs and indirects categories, that is interested in taking their experience to the next level. Supply Chain qualifications (CIPS) or similar and tertiary qualifications are highly desirable. What’s on offer $170,000 plus Super plus not for profit benefits. Parking on site.
