We are now looking for an influential, analytical and passionate Commercial Manager based at our Head Office in North Sydney. Reporting to theSenior Commercial Manager you will be an integral member of the Group Procurement function. You will be responsible for driving value, eliminating waste and providing true commercial expertise across the Australia, New Zealand and International business. We are looking for someone who understands the role a Commercial Manager plays in the boarder business, we want someone who thinks outside the box and knows how to leverage relationships not only at Goodman Fielder but the broader Wilmar group. Ideally you will be available to start early in the new year. You will be responsible for: * Leverage our Network for scale and value via exceptional Commercial management of allocated Categories and associated Strategies, and ultimately driving future opportunities; * Exceptional Business Partnering via effective working relationships with key stakeholders to align the commercial strategy and become a trusted business partner; * Smart Supplier Relationships via effective Supplier Relationship Management. * Take accountability for driving EBIT growth in all markets * Category Management across all indirect categories and is included as part of any Sourcing Plan/Strategy * Market Assessment that identifies supplier market depth in region and globally (existing level of competition perfect competition / oligopoly / monopoly), current and future market conditions, assess current & emerging market capabilities and identify the commercial requirements of suppliers * Define the ‘go to market' strategy (public RFT, RFX, direct negotiation etc.) and sourcing objectives to secure quality of supply, rationalise the overall supplier base and achieve consistent cost savings * Issue RFP's, Negotiate, evaluate and execute contract agreements Qualifications and skills to be successful: * Experience in Manufacturing environment * Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience * Minimum 5+ years of experience in Commercial/procurement role, * Strong project management skills involving the ability to influence, negotiate, and meet deadlines * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills * Strong prioritization, conflict management, decision making, and research skills * Knowledge of working in a regulatory environment, including global environmental health and safety standards preferred * Demonstrated ability to provide cross-functional leadership * Ability to work independently and prioritize duties with minimal supervision, in order to meet deadlines * Strong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, and web-browsers What can we offer you?
