Reporting to the Production Manager this role will play key part in maintaining plant production levels working on rotating shifts day, afternoon and night. You will be required to operate a range of equipment to ensure that animal feed is tested, packed and labelled correctly and efficiently.
As part of this well-established team your duties will include but not limited to;
Receipt of Raw materials
Operation of automated machinery
Participate in staff site meetings
Forklift operation (must have licence)
Manual handling tasks
The environment can sometimes be dusty and hot and there is a lot of walking up and down stairs.
It is expected the successful applicant will be a team player who is well versed in following SOP's and OH&S requirements. You must display a proactive approach to learning and development, be friendly and methodical. Excellent verbal and written communication is also required.
You will also have:
Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
Familiarity will panel operation
Flexibility to work rotating shifts
No fear of heights (climbing stairs, walking along raised catwalks)
Strong attention to detail
Basic MS office skills
A Driver's licence and own transport
A Forklift licence (preferred)
A Boiler ticket (preferred)
Previous experience in the food, beverage, feed industry is highly regarded. There will be career opportunities with this national company.
The successful candidate will be required to undergo a full pre-employment medical, drug and alcohol testing and a National Police Check.
