Retail Customer Marketing Team Overview
The Retail Customer Marketing Team provide thought leadership in Category and Shopper Strategy, as well as activation of Range, Space, Visibility and Price initiatives. Specifically, the team are responsible for partnering with our Retail Customers (Grocery, Convenience & Petrol, Wholesalers, Pureplay (Amazon) to develop insight led Joint Business Plans to grow the category and improve the shopping experience.
This role is responsible for working closely with internal and external stakeholders and agency partners in the development, execution and review of customer related activity, defined in the CCA/Customer annual calendar. Important to this outcome will be the project management of activity through the commercial planning process.
Input into Integrated Annual Planning as part of the Trade Marketing Team. Post Initiative sign off, this role is primarily responsible for the detailed development and execution of the agreed Customer activity that deliver to their strategies and the Amatil Accelerated growth plan.
Project Manager ownership for BTL customer activities, which involves influencing across CCA functions (marketing operations, sales, field, finance, legal etc) to deliver IAP and other BTL related activity.
Understand the key shopper problems and shopper insights for your customers, specifically the shopper fall-out funnels. Use these funnels to prioritise touchpoints for activation across bricks and mortar retailers and Ecommerce.
Work with Trade Marketing Manager to effectively manage the DME (Direct Marketing Expenditure) for your customer. Understanding budget requirements for different touchpoints and the prioritisation of activation elements to deliver to strategic needs of activation.
Working with the retail field execution team to provide communication of activity to field teams
Work alongside the Customer Category Manager for Indies to provide input on customer marketing priorities, execution time and pre-sell times.
Operationalisation of Customer Commercial Plans and reviews.
Conduct post reviews of customer – CCA retail execution programs.
To be successful in this role you will have:
Minimum 3-5+ years experience in sales / marketing in an FMCG or similar environment
Degree qualified (ideally marketing or sales)
Proven experience at generating insights and applying that understanding to create shopper marketing programs in retail channels
Proven track record of successfully leading projects / campaigns including budgetary responsibility
Track record of both creative and practical thinking, which have delivered business outcomes that make a difference with customers
Good knowledge of general business practices with strong commercial and financial acumen
Well-developed presentation confidence and professionalism to deal with high profile national customer groups
Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills
E-commerce activation experience
